Lab software that gets reports from the lab straight to pet parents.
Lab Link is a small program for the computer your analysers send to. When a machine finishes a sample, the result arrives in FetchWise against that sample. Once a vet checks and signs the report, it reaches the pet parent's FetchWise app.

Typing results from a printout takes the morning.
Most analysers print a strip or show the values on their own screen. Someone reads each value and types it into the record or the report, test by test and sample after sample. On a busy morning that is dozens of numbers.
Every typed number is a chance for a slip: a decimal in the wrong place, a value on the wrong patient. And while the results wait to be typed, the vet waits to read them.
What Lab Link does about it.
Download it and run it
Download Lab Link for Windows from your FetchWise account and run the file. It connects itself to your clinic or lab, with no settings to fill in.
Network, cable and Bluetooth machines
Lab Link works with analysers that send results over a network cable, a serial cable or Bluetooth, in the standard lab formats, HL7 and ASTM.
Results on the right sample
Each sample's label carries its lab number as a barcode. When the machine reads it, the result arrives in FetchWise against that sample.
No typing from a printout
Values arrive as the machine measured them, so nobody types them in again and no decimal goes astray.
Far-out results first
A result far outside its range stays at the top of the list until a vet marks it seen.
A vet checks and signs
The vet reads the results, checks them and signs. The signed report goes out on your letterhead.
A morning with Lab Link.
The sample is registered.
Register the sample in FetchWise and print its label. The lab number goes on the tube as a barcode.
The machine runs it.
Load the tube as you always do. When the machine finishes, Lab Link sends the result to FetchWise against that sample.
The vet reads and signs.
The values are on screen, with far-out results at the top. The vet checks them and signs, and the report reaches the pet parent's FetchWise app.

Questions clinic owners ask.
What is Lab Link?
A small Windows program from FetchWise. It runs on the computer your analysers send to, and brings their results into FetchWise Clinic or FetchWise Labs.
Which machines does it work with?
Analysers that send results over a network cable, a serial cable or Bluetooth, in the standard HL7 or ASTM formats. Tell us your machines on the demo and we will go through them with you.
Does it work for a standalone lab?
Yes. Lab Link works with FetchWise Labs, the software for veterinary labs, as well as with the in-house lab in FetchWise Clinic.
Do I have to type in a code or an address?
No. The file you download already knows your account, so you run it and it connects itself.
Does the computer need to stay on?
Yes. Lab Link runs on the computer the machines send to, so keep it on while the lab is working.
